Ambassadors
The NorthAmbassadors Program is a clinical innovation initiative led by the NorthMed Innovation Center, designed to empower physicians and medical teams in northern hospitals to become active drivers of innovation.
The program places selected Ambassadors inside their clinical environment and equips them with the knowledge, tools, and mentorship needed to identify meaningful unmet medical needs and develop them into early-stage solutions with real potential.
Through a dedicated series of workshops and continuous mentorship, Ambassadors gain exposure to NorthMed’s extensive expertise in MedTech, entrepreneurship, intellectual property, regulation, market validation, and product development. This structured support allows clinicians to transform day-to-day challenges at the bedside into clear innovation opportunities, guided by industry standards and practical frameworks.
Importantly, the program gives clinicians the ability to explore and grow their ideas without having to relocate or disconnect from their departments. By leveraging the capabilities of NorthMed’s ecosystem — including mentors, advisors, investors, and specialized programs like NorthPreneurs — participants are connected to a pipeline of resources that can lead to prototype development, grant opportunities, venture formation, and collaborative research, all right here in the North.
For hospitals, NorthAmbassadors strengthens internal innovation capacity, develops influential clinical champions, and fosters a culture that encourages creativity, interdisciplinary thinking, and continuous improvement. For clinicians, it offers professional growth, leadership opportunities, broader industry exposure, and the chance to make a tangible impact on patient care beyond routine practice.
By uniting clinical insight with NorthMed’s innovation capabilities, the NorthAmbassadors Program is building a new generation of clinician-innovators. Together, they are helping shape the future of healthcare technologies emerging from the Galilee — proof that groundbreaking ideas can start locally and scale globally, without leaving the communities that need them most.
